Now here's what the website says:

There is a single life-time membership fee of US $2 ! There are no other hidden fees.

Why would I believe there are no other hidden fees when you've already lied to me? It's not $1, it's $2. So it's a scam, and I think it's illegal. I suppose since it's just a dollar difference, this scammer thinks it's alright. Not me, a scam is a scam.

Payday 1-15-10

Here are this weeks earnings, but first: in checking the stats on all the sites on which I'm making money, I went to Bidvertiser, which I hadn't been to in a long time. I remember why: problems logging on. So I decided to drop their ads from this blog, with this message I sent to support: "I'm dropping all your ads from my site, and blogging about the experience. It seems I have the hardest time getting on your site to check my stats. The logon never lets me thru, and I think part of the problem is the drop-down menu with 'Advertiser' 'Publisher' and 'Referral' selections. Whatever is wrong with the process is not my problem, there are too many other sites out there to choose from to use one that is troublesome. Goodbye."
I'm not fooling around here. This stuff is time consuming enough, if I get on a site and it isn't functional and easy to use, I leave it. Forget the promises of easy money, they all promise that. Go with the well designed, easy to use, functional sites.

for an incredible $31.35... which is my YTD, so I didn't even double last weeks earnings. But, let's keep it in perspective: I'm working on community computers with some limitations, and since they're shared, I can't save sites on them, so I have to logon everytime I do anything, which is very time consuming.
Plus, I'm on some new sites which are geared towards trafficing and affiliate marketing, auto-responders, etc. I'm gaining a new set of skills, and there's a learning curve, and not a lot of time to pursue the sites above right now. Will update with better figures next week.

Deal Barbie Pays/Traffic Wave

Here is the latest site I've plugged into:

Also, what I've discovered is joining these sites and doing the clicks or reading the emails or doing the surveys just doesn't generate enough money to justify doing these things, at least not for me. The only way to make any real money is to get downlines, and I think Trafficwave is going to help me in that respect. It's very well laid out, and goes thru the whole auto-responder program it offers, and has a lot of training pages on all the different areas it offers, all for FREE for 30 days. If it doesn't look like a deal after 30 days, at least I'll have learned quite a lot about using these programs, which is what I see all the pros doing.

YouData/Sendearnings

Here are 2 more money making sites I've joined, and am evaluating to see their potential. By all means, join up, come back here and tell me what you think. I can use all the help I can get.

Payday 1-8-10

Here are my weekly earnings, and this is the first of a weekly feature, showing what I made, starting with the most lucrative to the least lucrative money-making sites I'm on.
Now, this may seem like a paltry sum. It is. But, take into consideration- I'm working on community computers with severe limitations, like no Activex, video (no tutorials), software downloading, etc. Also, I have time constraints since these are shared computers. I'm just starting out, so these numbers should steadily increase as I learn. And, I spent a lot of time doing this, which was a setback. And, lastly, this blog is for the evaluation of the money-making sites, not to actually rake in. If that happens, it's just a perk.
I was reluctant to leave up bux and wordlinx, but I thought I'd note my experience with these- I'm having problems dealing with the username/password thing on these sites. I tried using the same username/password combination on all of them, for the obvious reason. I chose a password that has one special character, because it's more secure, but some sites don't allow it. On top of that, some sites don't let you choose your username, but use a number or your email. It makes it hard and confusing to keep track of, and, for example, with the password retrieval from bux, there is this: 'You only have 1 hour to change your password since you requested recovery for security reasons.' That's not always practical, and since there are so many sites to use out there, I just drop the ones that give me a hard time.

The Ad Busters

I had to quit The Ad Busters (http://www.theadbusters.com/), they gave me a four-digit user name instead of letting me pick my own, and I kept forgetting it. Finally, I wrote Support for the site, and they sent the number and it didn't work. I've got over a hundred safelists listed, and that's just scratching the surface. Goodbye, adbusters.

Hotshorturl

Beware of using Hotshorturl. I used it to cloak some of my urls after reading it's a good idea to do so, 'cause some folk will strip your referral name or number out of the url otherwise. I used it extensively to promote Peoplestring, until a friend joined up using that url and it didn't register in my downline. So I had another friend use the Hotshort url, and another to use the url Peoplestring provided. Yet again, the Hotshort url didn't register in my downline, the Peoplestring url did. I used both of them right out of my page on Hotshorturl, the long url from Peoplestring, and the short url listed right below it in the same box provided on Hotshorturl. I don't know if this is a fluke of this particular website url, but I'm not going to experiment with every site I'm promoting. I'm just not using Hotshorturl.

P2E Marketing

P2E Marketing sent me an email, so I thought I'd get on and try it out. I was starting to fill out the account form until I got to this: 'Your Payment Option', and the ONLY option is Alertpay, which of course is no option at all. Pass.

SFI, GDI Trial

I tried the SFI Affiliate Center website, but had a bad experience. It looked like it had the potential to be a good program, but upon registering, I had a long questionnaire to fill out. I did an accidental keystroke that put me on another page, and when I tried to back up, I either couldn't or all the info. was gone. The thing is, htere are so many oppurtunities out there, if I'm on a site that's hard to use or doesn't work right, I move on. Especially if I lost a lot of time because of it. There's no good reason for sloppy design.
I also tried GDI, which looked very promising, but I had problems with that one, too. First, they asked that I use my paypal account for a $10 fee, after a week trial period. All-right, I'll try it and see what happens. But when I got to the page where I sign up for a website, they asked for my password to paypal on their webpage. I didn't like that, on top of the fact that if it's free for a week, they shouldn't ask for anything, even proof of ability to pay, up front. So I passed. There's enough stuff out there that I shouldn't need to put up with any shenanigans.

Traffic Smarter Post 1

I pulled this right off the Traffic Smarter website. You can try it and see how it holds up.
trafficsmarter
Traffic Smarter is a new site that says it guarantees more CONVERTING web visitors and online advertising with very little effort or cost. So I decided to put it to the test...

My first impression was the site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel. It is easy to read and understand. Joining the site was easy and painless--they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.

The Members Area is very well laid out and intuitive--I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up and running in less than 5 minutes. Inside the site, you create links and ads--the links you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into "Traffic Smarter" links. You create ads for anything you want to promote using the Traffic Smarter Ad Generator, which is very easy to use. You can create as many links and as many ads as you like. And they are organized in a logical way--links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference. Also, since the link generator is the tool you'll use most, it is also right at the top of the main page when you login. Very smart!

After you've created at least 1 link and 1 ad you can start to generate traffic. Just use and promote the new Traffic Smarter link instead of the original source link you had. Every time the Traffic Smarter link is clicked, the page loads followed by a cool slide-up ad window at the bottom. It displays an ad PLUS an image with your affiliate link that goes back to Traffic Smarter. So if anyone clicks the Traffic Smarter image they see the site, and if they signup they become your referral. It's a great viral feature because you can build referrals without even trying to just by using the site.

Now every time the ad window displays (your Traffic Smarter links get clicked) you earn credits that get YOUR ad displayed in the ad windows when other members' links get clicked. So the more clicks, the more times your ads get displayed.

And this works virally--meaning as you make referrals into Traffic Smarter (either by promoting it or just using it and visitors click the Traffic Smarter image on the ad window to join) you also earn ad credits on THEIR link clicks. And this works up to 5 levels deep. So you can create a massive amount of free ad views and web traffic by referring others to Traffic Smarter also.

I didn't get to test the full effect of a big downline yet (I just got the tool) but I can tell you the rest of the site works exactly as stated--my links got clicked, I earned credits, and my ads got displayed. Traffic Smarter even tracked my results so I know how many clicks and how many ad displays. That was an impressive unadvertised extra feature.

There is one more benefit and feature which might be the best of them all--downline emailing. You can email your downline with offers, promotions, or whatever you like, and here is where Traffic Smarter really shines. They took time to make the emailing often enough that it's valuable as a user, but no so often that it's a burden to your downline. But the best part about this feature (and actually the credit earning too) is that it tells you exactly how long until you can mail again. Now THAT's cool.

Overall I have to say I am impressed with Traffic Smarter. It is simple yet powerful, and delivers on its promises. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to increase traffic and advertising.
